Actually, sticks are kind of magic

So we’ve said it before we are having fun with this project.

We go out looking for sticks. We pick up sticks. we take pictures and videos and talk about sticks. We sell sticks. Playing with sticks is fun.

Occasionally things get tight. There can be a frustration, something has to happen, something is not happening and so on.

So you know we do? We eat our own dog food.

We stop what we’re doing and just go pick up a stick.

It breaks the spell. At the very least it’s a pattern interrupt to use some quasi-mumbo-jumbo phraseology.

Picking up a stick is calming. We will often have an idea for the next thing to do.

It’s really great for writing - the next idea will spontaneously come to us when we stop what we’re doing, let go of the frustration and pick up a stick.

We just did it a few minutes ago we were getting really wrapped up and we said wait a minute and we stopped and we picked up a stick and now all is well.

It really is that simple there is a magic in the stick.
